2. Peter Brady ( ) was born in 1792 in Cavan, Ireland. He died before 1821 in Cavan, Ireland.
Peter married Mary. Mary was born in 1761 in of Ahadrumagiter, Castleterra, Cavan, Ireland. She died after 1821.
They had the following children.
+ 6 M i John "William" Brady was born in 1810. He died in 1876. + 7 M ii Felix Brady was born in 1799. He died in Bet 1854/1868.
3. Michael Brady ( ) was born in 1793 in of Lavey, Upper Loughtee, Cavan, Ireland. He died after 17 Sep 1850 in Prob. Bristol, Bucks, Pennsylvania, USA.
In 1821 Michael Brady is found living in Lavey, Upper Loughtee, Cavan, Ireland with his family. The family owns no property and he is employed as a farmer with his wife being employed as a flax spinner which was used for making linin. By 1834 the family has left Lavey and are not listed in the 1834 tithe record for Lavey although many of their neighbors are still living there. Michael and Mary Brady arrived in the United States of America at New York City on May 3, 1843. They sailed aboard the Rochester which had departed from Liverpool, England for New York City. Michael and Mary's stated destination was Pennsylvania on the Rochester passenger manifest. After arriving at Bristol, Pennsylvania, Michael and Mary are able be in Bristol for grandson Michael Francis Brady's birth and christening October 8, 1843. It is from this christening record that we learn Mary's maiden name is Kelly. Michael and his wife are listed in the 1850 census living with son, Patrick in Bristol Township, Bucks, Pennsylvania.
Michael married Rose Mary Kelly, daughter of Edward Kelly ?, about 1808 in , Cavan, Ireland. Rose was born in 1790 in of Lavey, Upper Loughtee, Cavan, Ireland. She died after 17 Sep 1850 in Prob. Bristol. Bucks, Pennsylvania, USA.
The 1821 County Cavan, Ireland census gives the first name of Rose. The 1843 immigration record, grandson Michael Francis Brady's October 8, 1843 christening record and the 1850 census in Bristol, Pennsylvania gives the name Mary. As both the 1821 and 1850 censuses have the same birth year it is likely that Rose is an abreviation for Rosemary. In this case both names are right. Supporting this is her husband Michael's name was abreviated Mich on the line before her name in the 1821 Irish census. In 1850 she and Michael are living with son Patrick Brady who has named his first two children Mary Ann and Michael Brady.
They had the following children.
+ 8 M i James Terence "Terence" Brady was born in 1809. He died on 12 Sep 1854. + 9 M ii Edward Brady was born in 1812. He died on 14 Dec 1879. + 10 M iii Peter Brady was born in 1816. He died before 3 Jun 1845. 11 F iv Mary Brady was born in 1819 in Lavey, Upper Loughtee, Cavan, Ireland.
Mary may have married a Thomas Morris b. 1815 in Ireland. The name Mary Morris is listed as the sponsor at the christening of William Thomas Brady on the 12 November 1874. This would have been her grand nephew. Her children are listed as Patrick b. 1849 in New Jersey, Ellen b. 1854 in Pennsylvania, died about 26 March 1893; Annie b. 1860 in Pennsylvania, and Mary J. b. 1862 in Pennsylvania. In the 1850 census Mary is listed five houses away from William Brady. Thomas, died July 3, 1901. Emmigrated to the USA in 1848.
