Published: Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002 7:42 a.m. MDTFrank Dennis Sharp, 61, passed away surrounded by his family Sept. 3, 2002 after a short fight with cancer.
Dennis was born July 17, 1941 to Frank Robinson Sharp and Dorothy Arnold White, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dennis grad-uated from the University of Utah with both his bachelors and masters degrees. Before attending college he served the Lord on an LDS mission in the Eastern States mission. Dennis was a High Priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and for the last several years he was a quorum instructor and quorum secretary. Dennis was married to Ann Coombs, and was later divorced.
He is survived by eight children; Mirinda (Brian), Merilee, Monica (Al), Mandalyn (Scott), Maranatha (Kory), Michael (Currently serving in the Michigan, Detroit mission), Melodee, and Matthew. He is also survived by his loving brothers Robert (Chris) and Jon (Kari), and by his loving sister Nancy, and four grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Dorothy.

Services will be held Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, 12:00 noon, Millcreek 6th Ward LDS Chapel, 4600 South 600 East. A viewing for family and friends will be held that morning from 10:00 until 11:45 in the same building. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery. Under the direction of Larkin Mortuary.

Published: Monday, Jan. 22, 2001 10:56 a.m. MSTJohn Frederick Adamson (JF, Fred), 51, died suddenly January 18, 2001 in a tragic automobile accident in Millcreek Canyon east of Salt Lake City.
Born in Salt Lake City April 19, 1949 to Norma and Jack Adamson. Fred was the oldest of five children. From an early age he showed an avid interest in cars, motorcycles, and the outdoors, briefly pursuing a career racing moto-cross and dirt bike events. He married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Sharp Dec 21, 1968 and they had two daughters, Jackie and Janet.
Fred was known to his many friends as a gentle intellectual giant. His interests span-ned a vast realm from religion and philosophy to the high tech world of the information age. His last 15 years were devoted to development and implementation of data compression and retrieval technology for which he has received national and international acclaim.
Fred is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Jackie Adamson, Janet McArthur; two grandsons, Steven, Alex McArthur; father, Jack; sisters, Susan Sundwall, Amy Tingey; brothers, David, Andrew Adamson; and grandmother, Magarette Hicken. Preceded in death by his mother, Norma; and grandparents, Niff and Alta Hicken.
