He was born in Worcester, Mass.; died in Verona, N. Y. Abel Wilder (1758-1831) served as private in Capt. Jotham Houghton's company, Col. Nathan Sparhawk's 7th regiment, General Warner's brigade. He was born in Petersham, Mass. William Wiggins (1740-1824) served as private in Captain Marston's company, Vermont militia. He was born and died in Thetford, Vt.

Nathaniel Wiggins and his wife Phebe Dodge Wiggins came with a grown family of children from Montpelier, Vt., and settled on a farm on what is now Turney Avenue. The site is on a hill back of the Cleveland State Hospital.
Mrs. Wiggins was of an active temperament and very fond of her home. She used to gather wild fruit and berries in quantities, dry them,

Nathaniel married Phebe Dodge, daughter of Thomas Dodge and Abigail Putney, on 7 Mar 1802 in Barre, Washington, Vermont, USA. Phebe was born on 27 Mar 1781 in Sturbridge, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA. She died in 1849 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio, USA.
