He was buried in Cremated in Oakland, Alameda, California, ashes buried with wife at Forest Lawn, Glendale,Los Angeles,California.

Julius M. Nevins page 879Julius M. Nevins, son of Russell M. Nevins, was born in Washington County, Vt., Dec. 20, 1826. In 1837 his parents moved to Milwaukee, Wis., and to Jefferson County, Wis., in 1838. In 1849 he went to California with an ox team, and came back in the fall of 1851. He traveled through Washington Territory. In 1859 he went again to California, and in 1861 returned to Wisconsin. In 1864 he came to this county, and in January, 1873, went to California, returning the same spring. In 1876 he went again to California, taking his wife and eldest daughter, and remained one year. He was married May 29, 1847, to Elizabeth King, of Canada, a daughter of John King, a native of England. They are parents of seven children - Marilla, Adella, Matilda, Almeda, Sarah and Viola. A son died in infancy.

Julius married Ann Elizabeth King, daughter of John King and Ann E., on 30 May 1846 in Aztalan, Jefferson, Wisconsin, USA. Ann was born on 16 Jan 1829 in Kingston, Frontenac, Ontario, Canada. She died ¹ on 14 Sep 1919 in Glendale, Los Angeles, California, USA. She was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Glendale, Los Angeles, California.

Immigrated to the United States in 1832.

"Mrs. Henry C. Aekerly of Glendale entertained with an informal reception Sunday afternoon in celebration of the. eighty-second birthday anniversary of her mother, Mrs. Ann Elizabeth Nevins.

Representatives of four generations were present. Mrs. Nevins, who was born in Kingstown, Canada, has made her home in California for thirty years."  Los Angleles Herald, January 18, 1910.
