"BALL PLAYER DIES
BRISTOL, PA., Aug.29.--John Brady, 36 years old, a former baseball player, died of tuberculosis just as the train that was bearing him back from the state sanitorium at Mont Alto reached the station here. He was accompanied by his wife." Trenton Evening News, August 29, 1911.DIED AS TRAIN REACHES BRISTOL
-----------------
A somewhat tragic death occurred in Bristol on Sunday evening, when John Brady, son of the late Terrance Brady, of Bristol, died as the train reached the local station when he was being brought home from the State Tuberculosis Sanatorium at Mount Alto.
About a month ago the young man, who was 36 years old, was taken to Mount Alto in the hopes of arresting the ravages of consuption. He failed to improve and his family was telegraphed for. On Saturday his wife and his brother, Peter Brady, went to Mount Alto and started home with the sick man on Sunday. He stood the trip fairly well, but as the train approached Bristol he seemed to sink suddenly and as the conductor called out "Bristol," he threw up his hands and said to his wife who was sitting beside him, "it is all off," and then he became unconcious. He died as he was being carried from the car, at 5.30 p.m.
Deputy Coronor Rue was summonedand viewed the body which was taken to the deceased's home on Buckley street,
The deceased besides the widow leaves a son. He was employed for many years as a weaver in the carpet mill. The Bucks County Gazette, September 1, 1911."Brady Dies of Tuberculosis
