Born May 14, 1914, Salt Lake City to John William and Caroline Arnold White. Married Frank Robinson Sharp March 31, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death Jan. 2, 1992. Active member of the LDS Church. Member Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was an educator at Roosevelt Junior High School for many years prior to her retirement.Survivors, children, F. Dennis Sharp, Nancy Sue Sharp (John F.) Adamson and Jon W. (Kari) Sharp of Salt Lake City; Robert A. (Christine) Sharp, La Mesa, California; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services Saturday, July 22nd, 12 noon at the Monument Park 9th Ward, 1565 Foothill Drive, Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, Friday 6-8 p.m. and at the ward one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.

Jack Fredrick Nell died with his wife of 70 years by his side. He was born in Salt Lake City to Ivan Chester and Thelma Player Nell. Jack married Marion Arnold on October 7, 1942. He attended South High and graduated from the University of Utah. He served in the Army during World War II as a Bombardier. Jack worked in Utah in the insurance industry in many different capacities, including owning his own business. He loved all sports-playing basketball for South High School, coaching baseball for his son's teams, and playing tennis and golf for many years. He was one of the original members of the Cottonwood Club and he and Mom made many friends there over the years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Marion A. Nell; 6 children, Sharron Nell, Jim, Dave (Nancy), J. Cory (Kathy), Rick (Michele), Scott (Pat); 17 grandchildren and their spouses; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and many friends. (A special thanks to Todd Gunderman for all of his help over the last few years.) He was preceded in death by 3 granddaughters, Amy Rivera, Michelle Nell, and Sascha Nell Hurst.
Dad loved family and always gathered his children and their children close. He will be cremated and his ashes will be spread in a place he loved.
