Cannon, Sr. She married Richard Lambert Rowen, August 23, 1937. Married again, November 7, 1969 to Lionel Dean Ovard. They were sealed in the L.A. LDS Temple, November 4, 1970. He died in 1975. Helen was an active member of the LDS church serving in many stake callings for over 50 years. She was the first woman President of Deseret Club at Los Angeles Jr. College, Founder L.A. Music Center, Founder of L.A. County Museum Of Art, Founding Executive of Pasadena Opera Co. She was on the original Board of Directors for Ettie Lee Home for Boys.Survived by a daughter, Judith Rowen Chaney; grandchildren, Jack Lambert Chaney and Joseph Hughes Chaney; great-grandchildren, Jeremey, Crystal, Jessica and Troy Chaney; two brothers and a sister, Robert J. Mr. Cannon started working at Cannon Electric Co. in 1930 sweeping floors, and continued there until 1964, when as CEO, he sold the company to ITT. Cannon Electric manufactures electrical connectors, often called the "Cannon Plug", which played a significant part in the development of motion pictures, aviation, and space travel. There are Cannon Plugs aboard every U.S. manufactured airliner since the DC-1 and every U.S. space vehicle and satellite. He served on the boards of Security Bank, Transcon Lines, California Casualty Insurance, Whirlpool Corp., the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Junior Achievement, and Occidental College. He was a lifelong member of Rotary Club #5, Los Angeles, and served as president 1948-49. He was a past president of the Merchants & Manufacturers Association. He had been a long-term member of Los Angeles and Eldorado Country Clubs. In accordance with his wishes, no funeral services were held. CANNON, James H. Of Westwood, MA, died November 28, 2013. He was born in Los Angeles, CA, on January 1, 1927. He enlisted in the Army Air Force in 1944 and was stationed on Okinawa from 1946 to 1947. He married Joann Harper in 1950. After graduating from Stanford University in 1951 with a degree in engineering, he joined the family business, the Cannon Electric Company. In 1956 Jim moved to Beverly Farms, MA, to be the general manager of the Cannon Electric plant in Salem. After the sale of Cannon Electric to ITT in 1963, he founded the Cannon Guild, a harpsichord maker in Cambridge, MA. Divorced in 1968, he married Alison Duff Randall in 1969 and settled in Chestnut Hill, MA. Jim was President of the Tennis & Racquet Club in Boston, a member of the Country Club, Brookline, the Cambridge Society for Early Music, the Wine and Food Society and the founder of the Squash Club in Allston. After many years as a summer resident, he retired to Marthas Vineyard, where he was commodore of the Edgartown Yacht Club, president of the Edgartown Reading Room, and president of the Martha's Vineyard Hospital. He was also a member of the Chappaquiddick Beach Club, Edgartown Golf Club and the Vineyard Conservation Society. Jim was an accomplished harpsichord player, an avid court tennis player and a competitive sailor. He is survived by his wife, Alison, his sister Patricia Arnell of Tucson, AZ. a son, Peter of New York City, two daughters, Jane of New York City and Catherine of London, England, stepsons Donn Randall of Wellesley, MA., Jeffrey Randall of Dedham MA, Stuart Randall of Rye Brook, NY., and step daughter, Shelley Randall of Concord, NH., three grandchildren, and eight step grandchildren. 88, passed away February 27, 2022. Patricia is survived by daughters, Sarah and Vicky Arnell and grandchildren, Jenner Arnell, Curtis Pritz, Neyland Pritz and Marycatherine Pritz. Patricia was the founder of The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures. The Mini Time Machine was created from the imagination and dedication of Patricia and her husband Walter Arnell. Pat's fondness for miniatures began in the 1930's, when as a young girl she received her first miniatures- a set of Strombecker wooden dollhouse furniture. It wasn't until the Arnell's moved to Tucson in 1979 that Pat began collecting in earnest. A Memorial Celebration for Patricia will be announced on the Mini Time Machine Museum Website at a later date. Walter J. Arnell 91, of Tucson died April 1, 2015. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Patricia A., devoted father of Vicky and Sarah Arnell of Tucson; dear brother of Pamala Edwards of England; cherished grandfather of Jenner Arnell, Curtis Pritz, Neyland Pritz and Marycatherine Pritz. Mr. Arnell trained at the Royal Aircraft Establishment in England and went on to be the Dean of Engineering and helped establish the Engineering Dept. in Long Beach, CA. After leaving California, Mr. Arnell was a Professor at the University of Arizona in the Engineering Dept. Among his hobbies he created Independent Documentaries about travel. He was also a member and contributor to many engineering organizations. Professor Arnett touched the hearts of many and will be missed by all. Visitation will be held at EVERGREEN MORTUARY CHAPEL (N.
