EDWARD LEE HOLLINGSWORTH
Edward Lee Hollingsworth was born at Cincinnati, Ohio, on August 11, 1863 and died at Overton, Nebr., on April 12, 1923, aged 59 years, 8 months and 1 day.
October 7, 1897 he was married to EDNA BARRERE. To this union were born five children, one of these a baby boy, died at the age of four months; the four living children are Evalyse (sic), Nelson, Veo
and Clarence, all of Overton, besides these a loving wife, three brothers and two sisters are left to mourn his sudden departure.
The deceased was a graduate of the Delaware College and Drew Theological Seminary, spending three years in the former and four years in the latter. Joined the Cincinnati Conference in 1895, in 1896 was ordained Deacon; in 1899 received ordination of Elder. His first year of ministerial labor in Ohio and ?????? difficult home mission field. His efforts this year was unusually successful with about 1,000 conver- sions. Fourteen years ago he was transferred to the Nebraska Conference and moved to this state serving as pastor at Mavale, Byron, Carlton and other places and coming from Gretna to Overton. At these places are friends who with those of this community mourn his death.
