He died on 30 Jan 2019 in Mabank, , Texas, USA. He was buried on 8 Feb 2019 in Rest Have Memorial Park, Rockwell, Rockwell, Texas, USA.

"Thomas (Tom) Charles Flood, age 67, of Mabank, Texas passed away peacefully at his home with his wife, Debbie, at his side on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. He was born Saturday, January 12, 1952 in Denison, Texas to Helen Lee (Jones) Flood and Charles C. Flood. He was the eldest of eight children.

Tom grew up in Denison, Texas. He was fondly referred to as Tommy, Tom, or G by family and friends. As a child he was a kind, caring, loving child, but had a bit of a mischievous streak about him. He was a born leader and it showed at a very young age, with such a large family, someone had to be the "leader." One of Tommy's fondest memories as a child was on a family vacation. The family of ten packed into the vehicle and headed to South Texas to enjoy some camping. They stopped to enjoy some time swimming in the Gulf, having gotten a bit sandy their Dad took the eight children to the local carwash to promptly hose them down, giving them a thorough "carwash rinse-down."

Tom graduated in 1970 from Denison High school. He went on to attend and graduate from East Texas State University with a Bachelors of Business Degree in Commerce. He started a career in the Banking Industry where he stayed for over ten years before switching to a Real Estate career that he enjoyed for over thirty years. He was a broker and was in also in the mortgage field. Tom loved his career in Real Estate so much that he was a broker and owner of Realty Associates. The many friendships he made along the way are immeasurable; rather it had been with the selling and buying customers or mortgage customers, he left a lasting impression to all he touched.

Tom married is beautiful high school sweetheart, Debbie Kuykendall, on Friday, November 26, 1971, in Denison, Texas. The couple enjoyed 47 amazing years together. The couple settled in Plano, Texas where they would live the majority of their adult lives. They spent the last two years enjoying life in a beautiful golf course community, they called home.

Tom was the proud father of his two son's Tommy and Patrick. He and Debbie welcomed two daughter-in-laws, Theresa and Monika, into the family and later enjoyed the addition of four grand children, Sydney, Carter and twins Jette and Jilly. He couldn't have been more proud of their growing family and the joy it brought him to spend time with them. He loved telling the grandchildren funny stories every chance he got.

Tom loved golfing, Country Music, watching sports and Fox News. He favored the color blue and loved being on the patio at home.

Tom was a member of Life Fellowship in Athens, Texas and attended his neighborhood Bible study group, Abundant Grace. He was also a member of the Cedar Creek Lake Rotary Club.

Tom's family and friends will fondly remember the kind, loving, caring, sincere, giving, patriotic man he was. He was always willing to help others. His attitude for life was exemplary; he always had a positive outlook, even if obstacles came his way. He was a wonderful advice giver and problem solver for many. He had an unbelievable ability to solve problems. He would say, "Okay, lets look at this as not how it won't work, but how can we make it work?" He could often be heard saying, "Yeah Buddy!" and, "Nobody does nothin'!"

Tom Flood, the man, the legend, was a faithful servant to our Lord Jesus Christ. Known for his kind, gentle soft ways, his giving heart, his dedication to his family, his love for his fellow man, his devotion to his wife, he lived his life with high integrity; an example we all should follow.

Tom was preceded in death by; mother Helen Lee Flood; father, Charles C. Flood; special friend Pat McMahan; brother-in-law, Roy Kuykendall; and golden retriever fur-baby, "G" Flood who was his morning McDonald's Companion. "G" was by Tom's side for 16 loving years.

Tom is survived by his beautiful family; wife, Debbie Flood; sons, Thomas Charles Flood (Theresa Dubois) and Patrick Ryan Flood (Monika Mann); brothers, Jerry Flood (Audrey Thomas) and John Flood(Cheryl Pipkins); sisters, Debbie Lee Eldridge (Don), Cathy Johnston (Vic), Patty Osbourn (Charles), Mary Lou Kimbrell (Kenny), and Donna Aday (Jeff); granddaughters, Sydney Flood (9), Juliette Flood (7), and Jillian Flood (7); grandson, Carter Flood (6); brother-in-law Paul Wilson; sister-in-laws, Pam McCuan (Rick) and Paula Kuykendall; special friends, Bob and Vickie Pearson, Tom and Lisa Blakeley, Charles and Helen Nicholas; and golden retriever fur-baby Ellie Flood (9). Tom also leaves many cherished Nieces, Nephews, Great-nieces, Great-Nephews, extended family, and friends to cherish his memory.
