(Second Oldest Daughter of Clarence & Lillie Wood Wright)Born in Hartney, Manitoba, Canada, with the Family moving to the Detroit,Michigan, USA area in 1922, at the age of 1 1/2 years.
Esther was raised near the small suburb of Redford, West of the city ofDetroit, Michigan, near Telegraph Rd. and Grand River Avenue. At the ageof 12 years, the Family relocated to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, in theyear 1932, during the great depression.
Esther graduated from the Gordon Bell High School in Winnipeg, andshortly after graduation in 1937, the Family returned to the U.S.A.Being a very thrifty and enterprising individual, Esther worked atvarious jobs as one of the most beautiful waitress in the Redford areaand meeting the love of her life, love at first sight, a Thomas JamesFox, the "Foxiest Guy in Town".
Esther and Tom were married Sept. 26, 1940 at the home of Tom's SisterLucy Boynton, in Birmingham Michigan. She spent many years of her lifeliving at 12800 Hazelton St., Detroit, Michigan raising two Sons JamesAllan and Craig John.
During her school years Esther was very active in community affairs,progressing to President of the Healy School, Parents & TeachersAssociation, PTA. Being musically inclined, Esther also brought musicinto her home through talents in playing the organ and many other talents.
Being an excellent seamstress Esther designed custom clothing, and alwaysbeautified her home and surroundings with a green touch of the outdoorsin gardening. Another of her outstanding talents and a big hit withfamily and friends....was her gourmet cooking and particularly pie-makingsuch as Lemon Meringue, Blueberry, Strawberry, Pumpkin and Rhubarb!
Esther and Husband Tom were also avid travelers, covering all States ofthe U.S.A. except Alaska and all provinces of Canada. Esther started agolf career at the age of 17 years, active for many years in the WomensLeague at Burrough's Farms, as winner of some 8 major tournaments andWinner of the Mothers & Sons Trophy in 1960.
She was always active in her community Church activities at one timebeing Secretary & Historian of the Memorial Church, Livonia, and alsoChrist Church at Brighton, Michigan, and over the many years assisted herhusband, Thomas J. Fox in his various church and Bible College work.
In early 1960, Esther pursued a career in Nursing, graduating fromShapiro School of Nursing at Mt. Sinai Hospital, in Detroit, Michigangraduating with a degree in Nursing in 1968. For some 18 years sheworked at St. Joseph's Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan, in CoronaryIntensive Care retiring in 1986. During this period she nursed some veryfamous people such as her husband Thomas James Fox in open heart surgeryin May 1984, Henry Ford Jr., receiving a personal letter of commendationfrom Mr. Ford, and also Bo Schembeckler, Head Football Coach, Universityof Michigan, through two open heart surgeries.
Esther was the first Nurse to receive a Commendation from St. Joseph's byachieving a 10 year tenure in Coronary Care Unit, the average being 3years. As if this date of August 15, 1994, Esther is enjoying thepleasures of Family and Grandchildren nearby, golf and all of the otherluxuries afforded by Oak Point Golf & County Club, (formerly Burrough'sFarms Recreation Center), at Brighton, Michigan.

Esther married Thomas James Fox in Detroit, Mi.. Thomas was born on 27 Mar 1915 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. He died in 2002 in Brighton, Michigan.
Thomas James Fox (1915-2002)
(Oldest Son of James Allan & Katherine Ferguson Fox)Raised in the 2nd. Avenue and Grand Blvd. area of Detroit, Michigan, atage 4 years, the family moved to Birmingham, north of the central cityand Tom attended the Ball Elementary School.
The Family relocated to the 7 Mile Road/Woodward area where Thomasattended Greenfield Union School in the 6th. grade, and moved over to theLivernois/Grand River area while in the 8th. grade.
Tom later attended Redford High School located in the small Westernsuburb of Redford at 6 Mile Road & Grand River Avenue, where he graduatedin June of 1931.
While attending school Tom worked for Kroger's Market, Redford, ininventory and sales activities, and after high school managed a Lipson'sMarket Delicatessen Store in Redford for 5 years.
At age 22 years, Tom acquired a position with Burrough's Corporation(Burrough's Adding Machine Company) on May 27, 1937, located at 2nd.Avenue and Grand Blvd. in Detroit, starting out on the Assembly Line, inthe Analysis Department. He progressed to Trouble Shooter for theDivision Supervisor of the Publications Dept., and after some 25 years invarious management positions was appointed Manager of Production Control,and became Manager of Product Planning, New Products.
In 1968 Tom was promoted to Administrative Assistant to the GeneralManager of the Burroughs Plymouth, Michigan Manufacturing Plant.
At the age of 60 years, in July, 1975, Thomas James Fox retired fromBurrough' s Corporation, with a Retirement Party appropriate to theoccasion.
Tom met the love of his life, Esther Lavona Wright, in May of 1937 atRedford, and the couple became engaged in 1937, and married Sept. 26,1940 at Detroit, Michigan.
World War II was on the horizon...wherein Thomas enlisted in the UnitedStates Airforce, March 19, 1942, continued through basic pilot traininguntil an operation on his left leg for varicose veins thrombosis,hospitalized him for 47 days. Upon returning to active duty, he wastransferred to and became a Member of the Flight Crew of a B 29 Bomber incharge of Armament Systems. In this position Tom was engaged in highaltitude flight testing at the University of Arizona, at Phoenix,Arizona, and later at Elgin Field in Florida.
Tom was discharged to inactive duty in October 1945, and returned to hisFamily in Detroit, Michigan, resuming married life and a business careerwith Burrough's Corporation.
Over the many years with Burrough's the Fox Family enjoyed many happydays, hours and experiences at their summer home at Burrough's Farms, abeautiful recreation facility located at Crooked Lake, just West ofBrighton, Michigan. The menu at Burrough's Farms was special indoor andoutdoor pleasures and experiences, like soft ball, golf, fishing and justplain old family fun!!

Tom and Esther raised two great Boys, James Allan and Craig John Fox, andenjoyed many years of living at 12800 Hazelton Street, the West side ofDetroit, from 1947 to 1971 when they relocated to their favorite place,near Burrough's Farms Recreation at Brighton, Michigan.
They were always active in Church activities first joining MemorialChurch near their home in Detroit where Tom was very active on theChurch's Soft Ball Team, one of the star players on the team! Tom was aTrustee of the Great Lakes Bible College, Lansing, Michigan for 16years, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for 4 years.
In January of 1950, Tom and Esther, organized and built BrightonChristian Church, at Brighton, Michigan, which to date has some 500active Members. After retiring from Burrough’s, Tom started a secondcareer, when he became Financial Manager and Accountant for his Son Jamesnew entrepreneurial business in Computer Systems, Fox Systems Inc.,hardware/software and computerized systems, at Brighton, Michigan.
In a period of 7 years, the business grew from 7 employees to over 50employees servicing the States of Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio.Tom retired the second time from Fox Systems Inc. in July, 1986,dedicating his full time to recreational activities such as golf and moregolf, nurturing his Flock at the Brighton Christian Church, and enjoyinghis lovely Family, Wife Esther, his Boys and Grandchildren.

Daughter of Leon Anthony and Marion Bass Gilmor, born in Los Angeles,California on December 20, 1925 and raised at 1226 Masselin Avenue nearthe Normandie/ Wilshire, Los Angeles, California.Nancy was very active in High school Social Activities, and graduatedfrom Los Angeles High School in Feb. 1944 and was accepted at theUniversity of California at Los Angeles, majoring in Education.
Nancy was a Member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority at UCLA,, and alsomet the love of her life, Ken Wright on campus during a joint Drama andSpeech Class. A continuous series of dating ensued, with Ken convincingNancy that she should wear his Fraternity Pin, so some 30 Phi Kappa SigmaFraternity Guys showed up at the Kappa House one evening for a singingserenade and the couple were formally Pinned.
Nancy and Ken were formally engaged in Feb. 1946, Ken finishing a tourof duty in the U.S. Navy until June 1946 and Nancy continuing hereducation and graduating from UCLA with a Bachelors Degree and TeachingCredential in Feb. of 1948. Nancy and Ken were married at the EpiscopalChurch on Six Street, Los Angeles August 15th., 1947, while Kencontinued his education at the University of Southern California, LosAngeles.
Nancy spent most of her life in the Los Angeles area with the exceptionof a move to Dallas, Texas from 1965 to 1968. Ken being in Marketing &Sales they had many great trips together throughout the U.S.A., Canadaand some international travel.
Nancy had a very warm personality, loving , kind and considerate ofFamily and others and a true care-giver from the heart. She was anexcellent keeper of the house in addition to being a very attractivelady.
She taught school intermittently during her married life in the SantaMonica and Los Angeles School Districts and raised two Children, LauraLee and Douglas Lloyd, and was adored and loved by her Family andFriends.
It is believed that her second love was the sport of Tennis and she wasan outstanding tennis player, and also played golf with her Husbandand Friends.
Nancy was a Member of the Pala Mesa Tennis Club's North San Diego Women'sTennis Team winning second place in the San Diego North County Leaguecompetition in 1992.
She was also very active in Church work at one time being Deacon of theBel Air Presbyterian Church at Bel Air, California. She loved music andplayed the Piano Keyboard as a hobby with Husband Ken who played alongthe the guitar.

Barbara Jean Wright (1930-2001)
(Youngest Daughter of Clarence & Lillie Wood Wright)Born in Detroit, Michigan to Clarence and Lillie Wright and educated atRedford High School located in Redford, a Detroit West Side Suburb.
Jean worked in various clerical capacities and married a Norman Ayers,in 1955 at Detroit, Michigan. The couple moved to the Los Angeles,California area in abt. 1955 residing at Northridge, California, HusbandNorm acquiring a job at Douglas Aircraft Company at Santa Monica,California.
The Couple had one Daughter, Lisa Anne Ayers, however later divorcedwherein Jean married a Harland Pritchard, who also worked at DouglasAircraft at Santa Monica, California.
Jean and Harland relocated to Huntington Beach, California where theyresided for many years. Jean acquired a position as a Medical RecordsAdministrator at Flagship Convalescent Center, at New Port Beach,California.
She was a very quiet and reserved person, and enjoyed her work at theConvalescent Center for some 17 years, retiring in March of 1994.
During Jean's tenure at Flagship she cared for her parents Clarence andLillie Wright who were patients at Flagship Convalescent after her MotherLillie's heart attack in January of 1983, when her Parents were internedthere. Her Father lived on there until he died March 3, 1987 at age 94years.
After retirement in 1994, Jean relocated to Leisure World, at LagunaHills, California where she purchased a very nice condominium inbeautiful surroundings and resides to date.
Barbara had formerly live at Leisure World, in Laguna Hills, Californiafor some ten years prior to her illness, enjoying frequent visits fromher Daughter Lisa Anne Pachol and Grand Children Katelyn Joelle andAndrew William Pachol who lived nearby. Barbara also worked part timewith the Leisure World Security Section, and so enjoyed this work givingher contact with the other Residents of Leisure World.
In May of 1999 Barbara became ill with metatstic squamous cell cancer ofthe head and neck, and received surgery for this condition at LagunaHills, with subsequent radiation treatment in the Fallbrook area, afterrelocating to Pala Mesa Greens in April of 2000 to live with her Brother,Kenneth M. Wright.
Barbara passed away at 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 21st., at the FallbrookSkilled Nursing Center, Fallbrook, California.
Barbara so enjoyed living at Pala Mesa Resort in fact stated frequentlythat this time in Fallbrook was among the happiest experiences of herlife; her she was able to do some limited activity in her Brother'sextensive Garden adjacent the Pala Mesa Resort Golf and ConventionCenter, and had so many good times in the Patio overlooking the Gardenand Golf Course and working in the Garden from time to time.
One of Barbara's many wonderful personality traits was her positiveattitude toward her illness, which she understood was terminal and as thedisease progressed was accompanied by very intensive pain! She had sucha positive and strong Spiritual Relationship with her Lord, the Father,and it appeared she enjoyed a Daily Contact with this Positive and LovingSpiritual force that helped her through this very difficult time in herlife.
We thank the Fallbrook Hospital Hospice and the wonderful stall of"Angels" who so Professionally , Faithfully and Lovingly assisted Barbarain all her physical, medical and emotional needs over the past many weekshere at Home in Fallbrook. How comforting it has been personally to me,her Brother, the Family, Friends and Neighbors knowing that Barbara wasreceiving such wonderful tender, loving care during this most stressfultime in our lives.
Barbara had requested Cremation and was interned at OAKWOOD MEMORIALPARK, Chatsworth, California with her Mother Lillie Bernice and FatherClarence Graham Wright as she requested, in Section Elm of the Park. SoPeacefully Sleep Comes to a Dear Beloved Heart, Quietly we understand theTime has Come To Part, Tenderly, the Love Shines On A Never Ending Light!Gratefully, we feel its Warmth and Say, "Sweet Dreams and Good Night DearBarbara.
